Their keeper did miracles, literally. The referee made some incredible mistakes, our strikers made also some incredible mistakes. But the tie was in their favour, when Lacazette late goal in Lyon proved too much.
However, the comeback was nearly completed. Against the odds. 2-1 up after creating at least 6 clear chances. Their keeper was superb. Our keeper did too, but only near the end of the game.
Roma game plan was working fine, an aggressive team from minute 1, so unlucky not to score the many chances created up to that point: they scored their only goal with the only chance created. Shocking! But Roma regained possession and went on the same line after conceding, still fast and furious. Our second goal gave hope, and rightly so, they went on to continue to attack and create clear opportunities, even in the dying seconds. Yet, Lyon survived. Roma can only be proud for such performance, they gave everything! Just pure bad luck.
