Roma 2-1 Napoli “Vere-tutto”

It’s all true. Roma beat Napoli in a super thriling match to reach third spot in the league. The giallorossi win the last three in a row, in the same week. Moreover, another super display confirming what what we saw against Udinese was for real. Fantastic team spirit, super motivated players, and some great football!

Jordan Veretout, the engine, man of the match alongside a delightful Javier Pastore, an incredible display by the pair, but also the scoring verve and pace of Zaniolo, Kluivert, a thorn in the side of Napoli, Smalling head of defense. Mancini solid in the middle. Fonseca has turned this bunch a players into a proper team.

The early lead by Zaniolo’s superstrike was a great start, and the missed chance to double by Kolarov from the penalty spot curbed the enthusiasm. So, Napoli had some great chances and Roma luckily escaped at least twice.

Yet, it was just a blackout. The second half saw Roma running Napoli all over the place at an incredible pace. So many chances created only by Napoli’s keeper Meret to save them all! Then another penalty. Veretout this time doesn’t miss.

Although young Cetin’s mistake allows Napoli to get back in the game, Roma remained solid and concentrated until the end. So, well done to everyone! A great win! Europa League in Gladbach next. Then at Parma at the weekend. Don’t stop me now! Forza Roma!
